  • Class of2022

  • Major, MinorInternational Business, Communication

Christian says he chose Loyola because the university helps him achieve his goals while caring for his physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. He values the Jesuit principle of cura personalis, or care for the whole person, and was first introduced to this during his first-year experience in ALANA Service’s Multicultural Awareness Program, an initiative that works to ensure new students of color have a dedicated support system on campus and feel able to “enter any space proudly and confidently.” Christian loves the many opportunities Loyola has afforded him to be an advocate for others during his four years herefrom traveling to Capitol Hill to discuss environmental justice and immigration reform with lawmakers to marching in Selma, Alabama, with Civil Rights activists. The Jesuit tenant of cura personalis guides Christian in everything he does and helps him “understand how to properly care for all.” An international business major from Irvington, N.J., Christian is also minoring in communication. On campus, he serves as the vice president of policy and advocacy for the Student Government Association and is a member of the Green and Grey Society.
