Originally from Annapolis, Tiffany is happy to be back in Maryland to pursue her second master’s degree in education from 澳门6合开彩开奖结果. She holds a B.S. in Biology from Spelman College and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Loyola. She will earn her Certified Administrator Certificate in Educational Leadership from Loyola in May 2022. Before entering the education field, Tiffany worked in academic research laboratories. “Many students of historically marginalized and under-resourced populations were struggling to make it through their postsecondary science courses.” She chose to transition to teach secondary biology so she could address the needs of those students. She currently teaches secondary biology at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School where, she says, “I have the honor of aiding our students in navigating biological concepts, developing critical thinking skills, and becoming global citizens for and with others.” While Tiffany loves teaching her students, she is striving to transition into an instructional coaching role. Through Loyola’s School of Education, she has enjoyed the seminar format, which “fosters a healthy and challenging flow of ideas.” Tiffany shares that she chose Loyola for the myriad opportunities “to learn from top-tier faculty, who push and guide me daily.” After she completes her program, Tiffany will continue her doctoral studies at George Mason University to achieve a Ph.D. in Education with dual specializations in Science Education Research and Teaching along with Teacher Education.

What drew me to Loyola is its emphasis on the Jesuit value of cura personalis (care for the whole person). Only through a holistic education鈥攐ne that serves mind, body, and soul鈥攃an true achievement be attained.
